OLGA MEREDIZ
(Abuela Claudia) is so happy to be back on Broadway portraying the role she created Off-Broadway (HOLA award winner – Outstanding Performance by a Featured Female Actor, and Drama Desk – Outstanding Ensemble Performance 2007). A Tulane graduate, Olga was born in Guantanamo, Cuba. She starred most recently on Broadway as Rosie in Mamma Mia! and has an upcoming film for ABC Family called “Au Pair II” to be aired sometime in 2009. Her Broadway credits include Reckless (Trish) at MTC, Man of La Mancha (Housekeeper), Les Miserables, The Human Comedy. Film credits include: Changing Lanes, K-Pax, Music of the Heart, Evita, Requiem for a Dream, Center Stage, Isn’t She Great, Apartment 5-c (Cannes Film Festival), City of Hope, Angie, The Milagro Beanfield War, Q & A. TV: Hope and Faith (recurring), The Jury (recurring), The Sopranos, The George Lopez Show, Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: CI, The Job, 100 Centre Street, The Sunshine Boys (Telefilm), The Cosby Show, Sesame Street. Off-Broadway: Taming of the Shrew (NYSF), The Haggagah (Public Theatre), Lullaby and Goodnight (Public Theatre), The Blessing (American Place Theatre), El Grande de Coca-Cola, Women Without Men (Public Theatre), The Lady from Havana (Intar), The Spinster fro Tacna (Intar), Juan Darien ( Edinburgh Theatre Festival /Julie Taymor). She recently performed as a vocalist with Oriente Lopez CUNY Latin Jazz Ensemble (upcoming concert this summer 2008) and enjoys doing bi-lingual voice-overs and jingles.
